Subs

As you may be aware the monthly subs for your daughters football team have been due monthly on the first Friday of the month. This season subs have been collected and managed by Sam Parris. Initially this appeared to be a good idea as Sam would be at most training sessions and matches. This, unfortunately has not worked out as planned and we realise has caused a number of you difficulties in who to hand your subs to.

Due to this Sarah and Vikki have volunteered to take over the running of the subs, simply for your ease. In future all payments can be handed to Sarah, Dave, Vikki or Paul.

It is important that all these payments are made promptly, this being, that we are approaching the most costly time of the year when we will be enrolling Girls and Teams for next Season, organising the presentation evening along with trophies and ordering new kits and equipment.

We hope you agree that the Girls do benefit greatly from the subs paid, with training, matches, equipment, tournaments, kits, rain suits, trips out, presentation nights etc. With this in mind we will be keeping the payments for subs the same for next year, we are aware that in some cases we are half the cost of most other clubs, due to the amount of sponsorship we acquire.

Next season payments will begin the first Friday of September, this first payment will be for £5 more than usual to cover initial charges for the League. All payments MUST be then paid on the first Friday of each month.

Can we please ask all parents to ensure that next season all subs are paid on time, as this season late payments have resulted in either Paul or Dave making costly payments personally, due to lack of funds paid on time.

Next season we will be unable to accept payments by standing order. The reason for this is due to the type of account we have, making it impossible to manage correctly. We realise this may be inconvenient for those of you who pay in this way and please accept our apologies. Please contact your banks and make June the final payment for this season.

Presentation Night 9th June 2006

It's that time of year again, we have booked Bury FC Social Club for this years event. Its a 7.30pm start, so don't be late. Awards are going out to all our teams, who have all had an exceptional season. So please come along and show your support for the girls.
Tickets are £2.50 adults. £1.50 Kids. All players no charge. Tickets available from either Paul or Dave, or pay on the door.

See you all there.

TCFC Seaside Soccer Tournament 2006

Hi everyone
It's been a while since our last post. We have since played another tournament, the TCFC Seaside Soccer Tournament 2006.

It was a very well organised day with teams from all over the region. We had both the Warriors and the Wanderers entered. Unfortunately the Warriors didn't seem to play to their full potential, next to the bottom of their group. The Wanderers played a better tournament, finishing above the Warriors. Both teams ended up playing in the knock-out stage of the plate, both going out on penelties. Overall it was a very enjoyable day, the weather was great and the tournament very well organised. I think everyone enjoyed it, even though we didn't come away with anything. Definately one to do again next year.

Photos of the girls were taken by a professional photographer, and can be found here.

Urmston Meadowside Tournament

Hello
On Monday 1st May we took this horrible looking lot to the above tournament.
We played in the under 11's section, which was 6-a-side. Each game was a total of 6 minutes long, which really didn't give the girls time to settle, no sooner had they kicked off, the final whistle went. All the girls played fantastically well. We took 9 girls but were only able to play 6 per game, we had to wait up to 45 minutes between games, and had to rotate the girls round per game so that they all got an equal amount of play.
In the end we drew 4 games (0-0) and lost 2 games (2-0) and (1-0). All in all a good result for a team that doesn't normally play together.

Well done everyone.
Dave
