Our 2nd home game of the season and our 3rd game overall. Another team that we knew little about, looking at their previous results, they hadn't played anyone that we had, so we couldn't tell how good they were.
Shame they turned up with only 10 players, they had 4 or 5 missing due to other commitments. But a result was what we were after so we fielded a full team.
A good positive start from our girls and it wasn't long before we got on the score sheet with a great lob over the goalie from Hannah. It became quite obvious after that, that the game was going to be fairly easy. We had a penalty awarded to us for hand ball and 2 more goals, one which was a stormer from Liv, a volley from a corner kick. half time score 4-0.
2nd half and we swopped Berty out of goal to give her some match play, and she performed well. Overall a good team performance from all the team in the 2nd half with another 4 goals. A hat-trick from Hannah and goals from Em, Megan, Jenny, Liv and Amy. I think that we had a good 85% possession over the 60mins with very little work needed to be done by our defense.
Some fantastic work from Jenny on the right wing earned her the opposition vote and Hannah got the managers vote for a great hatrick.
Westbury at home next Sunday, another must win game.
