Right, where do I start. I could go on and on about this game, but I won't. Because everybody already knows about this team. What I will go on and on about is the way our Warriors played. We went into this game knowing is was going to be a tough one. I put Sophie in defence knowing she would add extra strength, and she did just that. Teamed up with Beth for the first half, they did a fantastic job. Bronya just in front, again a fantastic game. Emily Hannah and Megan F up front.
It wasn't until the last 10 minutes of the game they put 2 in. One was from a long throw in and the other went in when everyone was waiting for the ref to blow his whistle on an injured player, but he never did.
Half time chat, the girls had played a blinder, second half and with the wind against us we knew it wasn't going to be easy. A very tough second half, City causing problems again, (nuff said). We battled hard and didn't make it easy at all for them. By the end it was 4-0 to them, but it was also a huge improvement on last time, plus we had to play in very strong winds. Very proud of the whole team, every single one gave 110% effort.
Fi played outstanding and got the opposition vote. Emily got mine, but to be honest I think the whole team deserved it this time. Well done everyone.
