A 6 a side game on a lovely sunny day, and with Chloe in goal we started brightly. Emily was up front on her own with Lauren getting alongside her as often as she could both had chances to score. However, we conceded first but the girls responded really well with a move involving Anna, Lauren and a great lobbed finish by Emily brought us level. Although we were playing well, we let in 2 more goals and were 1-3 down at half time.
With Isa going in goal for the second half, a goal from Lauren brought us back to 2-3. In an end to end game both teams had the chance to score and we conceded to leave us 2-4 behind. A great chance to cut the lead was missed when Emily was fouled and she took her own penalty only to see it well saved. Near the end Wythenshawe made if 2-5 with a good finish.
In defence Carly and Chloe were superb with brave tackling against bigger girls. Nothing seems to scare them and they deserved a joint player of the match award. Lauren was given the award by the opposition. Well done to everyone.
