Woodbank Athletic U11's vs Unicorn

This was the first time we had played Unicorn this season after many games against them last season. They are riding high in the league so we expected a tough game. Already without Isa, both Shauna and Zoe were unable to play so we were down to 6 players. However, Unicorn are a friendly team and offered to play a 6 a side game.
A difficult start for us saw Unicorn take an early lead and although we did have some good possession in midfield, we were 0-4 down at halftime. A bright start to the second half was rewarded when Lauren broke through down the right to score for us. In fact for 20 mins we looked the better team, and although Unicorn made it 1-5, we did have some good moves.
In the final 5 mins the girls tired and conceded 4 late goal for the final score to finish 1-9. I gave the player of the match award to Chloe as her brave tackling gets better every game. The opposition player of the match was given to Emily. Well done girls, better luck next week.
